Ephesus & Virgin Mary House Tour Itinerary

Our guide will pick you up from your hotel in the morning, and we'll head towards Ephesus, one of the best-preserved ancient cities in the world.

Visit the Virgin Mary House
Our first stop is the Virgin Mary House, a serene and sacred site nestled in the hills. This house is believed to be where the Virgin Mary spent her last days. You'll have time to explore the site, visit the small chapel, and enjoy the tranquil surroundings.

Explore Ephesus Ancient City
Next, we will move on to the ancient city of Ephesus. Walking through the marble streets, you’ll see remarkable ruins and structures:

• The Great Theater: An impressive amphitheater that could hold up to 25,000 spectators, once used for gladiator fights and performances.
• The Library of Celsus: One of the most famous structures in Ephesus, this library was built in honor of the Roman senator Celsus and once held thousands of scrolls.
• The Temple of Hadrian: A beautifully preserved temple dedicated to Emperor Hadrian, featuring detailed carvings and sculptures.
• The Odeon: A small theater used for concerts and meetings.
• The Fountain of Trajan: A grand fountain built in honor of Emperor Trajan.
• The Terrace Houses: Luxury residences of the wealthy, adorned with mosaics and frescoes.

Lunch Break  
We will stop for a delicious lunch at a local restaurant, where you can enjoy traditional Turkish cuisine.

Visit the Temple of Artemis
After lunch, we'll visit the Temple of Artemis, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. Although only a single column remains today, our guide will help you imagine the grandeur of what was once one of the largest temples in the ancient world.

Return to Hotel 
After a day filled with history and exploration, we will drive you back to your hotel, where you can relax and reflect on the fascinating sights you've experienced.
